TASMANIA: 2023-24 Program Allocations

The Australian Government has issued the Tasmanian allocation for visa categories nominated by states and territories for the 2023-24 program year.

 The assignments are:

• Skilled Nominated (subclass 190): 600 places
• Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491): 600 places

No new allocations of nominations have been provided for the Business Investment and Innovation Program (BIIP) in the 2023-24 program year for any jurisdiction.

This allocation is significantly less than anticipated. The Department of the Interior has reported that reductions have been seen across the State and Territory Nominee Program due to the large number of visa applications available following high quotas and the subsequent number of nominations issued in 2022-23.
