ACT: Assignment of Nominations 2023-24
The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Government has the ability to address skills shortages and labor demands through the Australian Migration Program in the nominated category by state/territory. You are allocated a specific number of nomination slots by the Australian Government each fiscal year.
For the 2023-24 term, a total of 1,200 nomination slots have been allocated for the ACT:
- Standing nominations subclass 190 for the ACT: 600 places.
- Subclass 491 provisional nominations for the ACT: 600 places.
- Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP): No places have been assigned.
It is important to note that ACT status nomination triggers a visa invitation from the Department of the Interior, but does not guarantee an immigration outcome. Applicants must still meet the visa criteria established by the Department of the Interior to be eligible.
