Western Australia State Nominated Migration Program
State Designated Migration Program
To be granted certain skilled migration visas to live and work in Western Australia, you must be nominated (invited) by an Australian state or territory through the State Nominated Migration Program.
WA Migration Services, on behalf of the WA State Government, provides WA State nominations to eligible applicants for two visa subclasses, giving you additional points on the Department of Home Affairs points test:
- the expert nominated visa (subclass 190)(opens in a new tab) — five extra points; either
- the regional (provisional) skilled work visa (subclass 491)(opens in a new tab) – 15 extra points.
