New PTE Test format (2 hours)

Person PTE announced that as of November 16, 2021, the PTE exam would go from lasting 3 hours to 2 hours.
In addition to the time of the exam, there will be several important changes that you should keep in mind if you are going to take this exam:
- The exam will be much shorter. In the old version, the PTE had between 70 to 80 questions. In the new version, we will find between 52 to 64, giving much more value to each question.
- The 10-minute pause between each test has been removed.
- The structure will continue to be of 3 parts: Speaking & Writing, Writing and Listening.
- The 20 questions corresponding to the PET Academic will remain.
What is the structure of the PTE exam like?
The exam is divided into 3 sections:
- Speaking and writing
- Reading
- Listening

Why is it important to get a good result on the PTE exam?
There are several reasons why a good result on this test is important. We will focus on the aspects related to your process to obtain a Permanent Residency.
Australia requires all citizens of countries that do not have English as their official language to demonstrate proficiency in this language when applying for Permanent Residency. If you choose to demonstrate your level of English by taking the PTE exam, you will need at least 50 points in all bands.
Also, if your level is advanced, you will receive 10 more points in the General Skilled Migration if you get 65 in all bands and 20 more points if you get 79 in all bands.
