NEW SOUTH WALES: Major Update Qualified Program 2023-24
In a major update on the NSW Skilled and Business Migration Program for 2023-24, the following were defined:
- The program focuses on addressing skills shortages in various sectors, especially in priority areas such as health, education and infrastructure, in collaboration with the Australian government.
- State and Territory allocations for the year 2023-24 have been posted on the Internal Affairs website.
- New South Wales partners with the government in the ‘Dream Big’ campaign to attract skilled migrants from around the world and make the region attractive to them.
- The nomination guidelines will remain largely consistent with last year, but there may be adjustments to the list of skilled occupations to reflect current needs and priorities.
- Specialized invitation rounds are anticipated throughout the financial year, but it is emphasized that receiving an invitation is not guaranteed and exploring other migration avenues is encouraged.
- The invitation rounds are expected to start at the end of September.
The partnership between applicants and the program helps NSW continue to be a desired destination for skilled migrants.
