Tasmania is not currently accepting registrations of interest for this particular pathway. If you currently live outside Australia and wish to be nominated by Tasmania, you will need a job offer from a Tasmanian employer and use the overseas job offer route, or if you have a job offer for a health or related role health.

Regional (Provisional) Skilled Work Visa – Subclass 491

To be considered for this pathway, you must meet all of the criteria listed below, including the Gold priority attribute.

• Migration Tasmania has contacted you in writing via SkillSelect asking you to register with the Migration Tasmania Gateway (you will not be eligible for nomination if Migration Tasmania has not contacted you first).
• Your nominated occupation must be listed in the Overseas Skilled Occupation Profiles.
• You, or any of your dependents, must not have lived in another Australian state or territory in the last twelve months.
• You must have access to sufficient financial assets to fund your migration and settlement in Tasmania for at least six months while you seek employment.
• If you are invited to apply for a nomination, you must provide evidence of research into the Tasmanian labor market. This may include:

• 1. Evidence of networking with workers/HR representatives via email/LinkedIn or contacting recruitment agencies that specialize in your area of employment.
  2. Evidence must include your email/message as well as the response you received.
  3. Communication with professional groups or industry associations in Tasmania relevant to your occupation. A list of professional associations and their contact details can be found on the Business Tasmania website.
• If you are invited to apply for a nomination, you must provide personal research into recently advertised positions that are relevant to your nominated occupation (a minimum of two vacancies no more than six weeks prior to your nomination request).
• You must provide a statement of employment for each job advertisement that explains how your qualifications, knowledge and experience relate to and meet the requirements of each job advertisement.
• Priority attributes for selection: GOLD
