The COVID-19 Visa (408) is extended to all sectors to boost the economy
5 March 2022 By RC Migration
The Australian Immigration Minister has announced that among the measures taken to boost the economy and overcome the emergency generated by COVID-19 in Australia, they have included allowing people from ALL sectors to apply for the COVID-19 Visa. Initially, this visa was designed to allow professionals working in key sectors of the COVID-19 crisis, such as nursing or community work, to stay in Australia for a period of 6 to 12 months. In addition, this visa, unlike the others, does NOT have any cost. From now on, this privilege will be held by all professionals in all sectors of the economy. This is a great opportunity for those who want to add working time in Australia for immigration purposes.
