For a professional occupation, can I request a skills assessment for an occupation that is not closely related to my title?
Yes, you can apply, except those in Group A, as long as you meet the required qualification level.

If someone is a sole trader who has been in charge of the duties and responsibilities of the named occupation, what proofs and documents must she present?
Required documents:
-Letter from his accountant indicating his tax liability.
– Commercial registration documents.
– Invoices and annual tax and business statements
Trade applicants have a technical interview.
Licensed trades have a practical assessment to demonstrate skills.
If my work experience was 4-5 years ago, could I lose 12 weeks of work experience due to processing times?
No. Processing time does not affect our evaluation of your experience.
If an applicant was unsuccessful in one occupation and now applies in a different occupation, would the failed application have any impact on the new application?
No. New valuations are looked at with new eyes.

Tasmania News: Overseas Applicant (OSOP): By Invitation Only.
Important information for foreign applicants
Registrations of interest not available: Tasmania is not currently accepting registrations of interest for the Overseas Applicant Pathway (OSOP).
Alternative routes: If you reside outside Australia and wish to be nominated by Tasmania, you have the following alternatives:
A. Overseas Job Offer Route – You can pursue this route if you secure a job offer from a Tasmanian employer.
B. Health and allied health positions: Alternatively, if you receive a job offer for a health or allied health position, you can also explore nomination possibilities through this route.

South Australia has undergone a Registration of Interest (ROI) process to manage strong demand from potential applicants living and working in the state against a limited allocation of nomination places. This means that potential applicants must present a return on investment (ROI) and be invited to apply for state nomination by South Australia. Potential applicants cannot apply for the state nomination directly.
PAY ATTENTION! NSW to focus on priority sectors rather than lists of skilled occupations
New South Wales has announced a major update to its approach to addressing the state’s skills shortage.
Instead of publishing a list of skilled occupations based on ANZSCO unit groups, they will now focus on priority sectors requiring skilled talent. These sectors include health, education, information and communication technologies (ICT), infrastructure and agriculture.
This change aims to more effectively address skilled workforce needs in New South Wales.
