The Australian government announced changes to temporary graduate visa programs in its recent Migration Strategy . These changes should take effect from July 1, 2024, subject to the passage of legislative amendments. Clarification of these changes is listed below.

Update: NT DAMA one-year extension and important changes
 
Northern Territory DAMA II has been extended by one year and will now remain valid until December 13, 2024. There have also been some important new changes that will make it easier for NT employers to access the scheme.

Registrations of interest not available: Tasmania is not currently accepting registrations of interest for the Overseas Applicant Pathway (OSOP).
Alternative routes: If you reside outside Australia and wish to be nominated by Tasmania, you have the following alternatives:
A. Overseas Job Offer Route – You can pursue this route if you secure a job offer from a Tasmanian employer.
B. Health and allied health positions: Alternatively, if you receive a job offer for a health or allied health position, you can also explore nomination possibilities through this route.
